The FIL 622-2 Toric (Camellens 2 Toric) represents an innovative approach to managing residual astigmatism following cataract surgery. This monofocal toric secondary IOL is specifically designed for implantation in the ciliary sulcus, allowing patients who have already undergone primary lens implantation to achieve emmetropia when residual astigmatism persists.
Manufactured from hydrophilic PolyHema material with 25% water content and UV filter protection, the lens features aspheric monofocal toric optics with a 6.00 mm optic plate diameter. The cylinder and axis are established during manufacturing based on the surgeon's prescription, with a wide range of available diopters (-5.00 D to +5.00 D) and cylinder powers (+1.00 D to +12.00 D).
The lens incorporates a 5° haptic angulation and can be positioned with customizable axis orientation (1° to 180° in 1° steps). Its design allows for easy removal even months after surgery, providing long-term flexibility in patient management. Compatible with standard injectors like Medicel Accuject 2.1 or Viscoject ECO 2.2, it offers surgical convenience while maintaining biocompatibility and MRI safety.
